Does PawVago confirm a pet space in cabin or hold?
No. The comparison checks published conditions only. Your airline must confirm that your specific flight accepts your pet and has capacity.
What is the difference between hold and air cargo?
Hold (checked baggage / AVIH) means the pet travels in the aircraft compartment as part of your passenger booking. Air cargo is a separate freight shipment arranged with an approved cargo operator. Airline acceptance and destination entry conditions may be different.
Can a snub-nosed dog or cat travel in the hold?
Several carriers restrict flat-faced breeds because of breathing and heat-related risks. Always enter the breed or select the flat-faced option and confirm the latest carrier restrictions. The checker never certifies an animal as medically fit to fly.
What documents are generally needed inside the EU?
For non-commercial travel with a dog or cat, an identification microchip, valid rabies vaccination and an EU pet passport are the usual starting point. Some destinations also require dog tapeworm treatment.
Can I travel with my dog to Great Britain in the cabin?
On standard commercial flights into Great Britain, pets normally travel as air freight (cargo), not cabin or checked-in hold baggage, except assistance dogs and some private flights. Check an approved carrier and route.
